Good morning from the future, my American readers. Wanted to make a quick post to about the commenting feature on this blog since I have heard that many are struggling to post a message.

The issue is is that Blogger, the host of this blog, is owned by Google. Google and Apple don't get along very well, so Apple decided to allow its users to block Google's tracking across websites. They then marketed this as "privacy" to their user base.

Well, it has only taken Google a few months to create a work around to keep those targeted ads flowing, but the upshot is that readers on an Apple device using Safari must now follow these steps to post comments:

1) Go into the Settings App on your device

2) Scroll down and select "Safari"

3) Under Security & Privacy, Deselect "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking"

4) Quit and restart the Safari App

5) Post all of the comments you wish!

In other news, Tori and I are off to the Blue Mountains, just West of Sydney for a couple nights of "test" camping--working through our organizational methods/ finding any issues with our intended longer-term travel methods.

We think we have everything we need, with only one slight oversight: no bulk water jugs... you may argue that is a major one. Looks like a quick stop by an Anaconda or PCB store is called for (think Bass Pro, but with fewer guns and a lot more adventure travel gear).

More to follow...
